This game is highlighting the importance of suicide awareness. It shows the importance of understanding and trying to help raise awareness of people struggling. The game is a simple search and collect game trying to find your friends letters to find where she is. The main quest is trying to find the letters through the apartment in order to find clues to where Jane could be. The apartment was all designed by myself and so was the scripting of the game. I first started by creating basic sketches of apartments and then focusing on little elements and details to make the game seem more realistic so players can become immersed. I believe that adding details such as photos, books and bills allows the game to become more interesting visually to the player. Throughout the game, the player will find little elements of information to find the clues as to where Jane could be. I also wanted to create audio in the background which is why the audio in the background are the letters that Jane wrote. I wanted to include this element so that the players do not have to read the letters but can listen to the audio instead. One of the main elements that I believe could be improved is the way of guiding the player. This is because I believe I could have had more linear ways of guiding the player so the game could have flowed easier.
